A water main break at Linglestown Rd. and Sixth Street has caused a water outage affecting Laing Youth Club. We were informed that the water may or may not return to our facility today. In the event that the water returns, an advisory concerning the safety of the water will be put in place.

We pride ourselves on our ability to accommodate our enrolled families beyond our before and after school hours when possible. However, due to inadequate notice and an inability to properly staff under the limited circumstance, Laing Youth Club will be operating at its usual hours of 6:30 am – 8:30 am (before school) and 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm (after school).

LAING YOUTH CLUB COVID-19 STATEMENT
Update: 3/16/20 (8:15 p.m.):
This Monday evening, March 16, 2020, Laing Youth Club received a state email clarifying that all PA certified child care centers must cease operation effective midnight March 16, 2020 for a period of 14 days under order of Governor Tom Wolf. At 8:00 p.m. this information was confirmed by Laing Youth Club’s certified licensing representative.
As a result, effective immediately, Laing Youth Club will be closed for the next 14 days.

It was announced today that all PA school districts will remain closed for the remainder of the school year.
As a result, Laing Youth Club will offer full-time camp hours, once services are resumed. At this time, no update has be made regarding the mandated closure of all PA certified child care centers. Whether in the form of a Spring/Summer Camp or Summer Camp, all currently enrolled clients and registered summer camp parents will have immediate access to these services when made available. In the coming weeks a Laing Youth Club staff member will be reaching out to all mentioned clients to update statuses and to provide further details.

LAING YOUTH CLUB COVID-19 STATEMENT

As declared by Governor Tom Wolf, on Friday, May 29, 2020 all Dauphin County child care facilities will be able to resume services in a safe capacity.
As a result, Laing Youth Club has not yet determined our summer camp status due to both staff and safety measure considerations. We apologize for any inconveniences that this may currently cause. However, we take the quality and saftey of our services very seriously and will not hastily move forward without the utmost confidence that such services are carried out. Please note, if made available, summer camp services will begin no earlier than Monday, June 8, 2020.

The following is an update regarding services for the 2020-2021 school year. We will continue to evaluate and monitor changes brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to meet your needs to the best of our ability.
Beginning September 8, 2020, Laing Youth Club will continue to provide before and after school services in accordance to the Susquehanna Township School District calendar. However, neither partial or fully extended care days will be provided until further notice.
Please note that this change is a direct result of the challenges brought on by the current pandemic and therefore can be reversed if circumstance allows. Consequently, due to the fluidity of current events, policy and procedures can, unfortunately, change with less than desired notice.
